Permalink = a URL that points to a specific web page
Quite simply it is just a link that will take you to a specific post or page on the web.
Finding your permalink for your review on Amazon can be really easy or super tricky. It really depends on how many books you have recently reviewed and how long ago your put up your review.
There are several different ways to find a permalink. I am going to show you the two that I most often use.
Email from Amazon (this is the easiest way)
Every time I post a review Amazon sends me an email that says…
Your review of (insert Title here) just went live on Amazon.com.
The easiest way to find your permalink is to grab it from that email.
Simply click on the link that says “See your review on the site”.
That will take you to the “Permalink” for your review which in this case was this link:
From Your Amazon Profile
Be sure you are logged into Amazon.com.
Click on “Your Account”
Scroll down nearly to the bottom of the page to find the “Personalization” box. Click on “Your Public Profile”
That will bring you to a page that will show all your recent activity. Find the book or item you need the permalink for and click on the title of your review (not the book title) or the “Read more” button.
That will take you to a screen that looks like this where you can then click on “Permalink” at the very bottom.
Then you can finally grab the actually “Permalink” for your review.
Your “Permalink” is the URL that appears at the top of the page.
That is the link I need you to submit to me.
You can remove everything after the final / so it looks neat and clean like this:
Or just submit it with all the garbled tracking info as both ways work.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
